The reason behind the split is due to the recent news that Hummel’s UK distributor, Elite Sports Group Limited, has entered administration. Elite Sports Group Limited has been responsible for the distribution of Hummel’s products in the UK, including Millwall’s kit. The administration may have impacted Hummel’s ability to meet the demands of their clients, which may have contributed to the breakdown of negotiations between Millwall and Hummel.
It is uncertain how the split with Hummel will impact Millwall, but it is likely that the club will find a new kit supplier soon. The current partnership between Millwall and Hummel, which began in 2021, will end after just two seasons. Errea previously supplied Millwall with kits from 2016 to 2018, and the new Errea kits for the 2023-24 season are expected to be released in July 2023. There is currently no information on the design of the new kit.
