ZIAN FLEMMING – MILLWALL’S MISSING PIECE TO PROMOTION?

Spread the love

Zian Flemming has made a huge impact since signing for Millwall from Fortuna Sittard for £1.7million in the summer.

The attacking midfielder missed the first few games with injury before hitting form on his return which has seen him scored eight goals already this season.

The latest showing from the Dutchman saw him score a hat-trick against Preston last weekend in what was an impressive showing from Gary Rowett’s side.

Thanks to our stat partner ComparisonAtor we are able to delve into Flemming’s stats over the past few months and they give a very good viewing.

The 23-year-old expected goals per game is 0.34 which means he will score a goal every three games or so as well as an average of 3.31 shots at goal per game.

Of those 3.31 shots per game, 1.3 are expected to be on target which gives him a high chance of scoring per strike – or at least making the keeper work.

The Dutchman has an average of 5.97 attacking actions per game and of which 2.6 of those are successful and help drive the Lions up the pitch.

The dribbling stats are impressive too with Flemming having 1.43 dribbles per game on average and 1.1 being successful.

Now to look at the defensive side of Flemming’s game. The 23-year-old makes a ball recovery an average of 1.95 times per game as well as 0.84 of those being in the opponents half.

Flemming makes an average of 24.46 passes per ninety and of which 17.91 are successful.

To conclude Flemming wins an average of 2.21 aerial duels per game showing his all round game is definitely there.

Zian Flemming has huge potential and hopefully he can help fire Millwall to the Premier League as he does look as if he’s the missing part of the jigsaw.
