Millwall beat Preston North End 4-2 at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon to move into the Championship play-offs once more.
The Lions finished off a nice spell before the World Cup break with a superb away performance and victory.
The Lions started quickly and Zian Flemming’s swivel and shot found the bottom corner to give Millwall the lead after five minutes.
It was two soon after as Flemming’s free-kick was to hot to handles for North End keeper Freddie Woodman.
The hosts got one back when the ball crossed the line from a corner following pinball in the Lions area.
Preston equalised when Sean Maguire’s header flew past George Long to stun Gary Rowett’s side.
But Millwall kept going and got back in front when Flemming got his hat-trick after a lovely bit of skill, composure and a tidy finish.
It was four with fifteen minutes to go when Charlie Cresswell nodded home an Andreas Voglsammer delivery.
Millwall are back in action against Brondby on November 26 in a friendly before heading to Sunderland the following weekend.
